Food Plant: Salix spp. (Willow) Egg: Underside of a leaf Mine: late Spring and late Summer Notes: Forms a a blotch mine at a leaf tip and can distort the leaf. The mine may occupy half the leaf. The larva is yellow with a dark head and prothoracic and prosternal pigmenation (as shown). The top two photos show a ventral and dorsal view respectively.
