Food Plant: Ulmus (Elm) Mine: Early Summer Pupa: In a spherical cocoon inside the leaf (as shown) Notes: A blotch is formed at the leaf tip from an initial corridor, which runs from the midrib (Formerly called Rhynchaenus alni). The adult feeds underneath the leaf and forms windows(as shown), besides eating through the leaf. The frass is found hanging beaneath the leaf.
