Egg: on the leaf

Mine: May-July (Hering 1957)

Notes: Forms a large transparent mine at the leaf edge. The egg at the start of the mine is covered in a glossy black secretion. The pupa is formed inside the mine and is not in a cocoon (shown in ventral view).
