Food Plant: Corylus avellanae (Hazel) Mine: early and late Summer Notes: Typically makes a pear shaped upper surface blotch which is usually at the tip of the leaf. The pupa is formed within the leaf and is not in a cocoon. The anterior end of the larva is shown, comparing the sclerotizations on the dorsal and ventral sides.
