Food Plant: Corylus avellanae (Hazel)

Mine: early and late Summer

Notes: Typically makes a pear shaped upper surface blotch which is usually at the tip of the leaf. The pupa is formed within the leaf and is not in a cocoon. The early pupa is shown in dorsal (top two photos) and ventral view (bottom two photos). It appears black later.
