Food Plant: Persicaria amphibia (Amphibious Bistort)

Mine: August

Notes: Bores in to the stem and pupates there. The frass is not granular, black and contains no silk which distinguishes it from Monochroa niphognatha which also bores into the stems of this host. Found in wetland habitats. The adult is shown.
