Mantura sp.
< back

Food Plant: Rumex acetosa (Sorrel)

Mine: Summer

Notes: There are several Mantura species on Rumex and the adults need to be bred through to identify (as they cannot be identified from the mines or larvae). These minescan resemble those of Teleiodes diffinis, but the larva, once seen (as shown), is very different.

Data: 14.xi.2017, from mine 13.xi.2017, Black Stone, South Devon, VC3
