Food Plant: Salix alba (White Willow), S.babylonica (Weeping Willow), S. x fragilis (Crack Willow) , S.purpurea (Purple Osier), S.triandra (Almond Willow)

Mine: July-September (Netherlands and Belgium), but May (Spain and Ukraine (Hering, 1957)

Notes: Forms a mine totally lower surface on a leaf, with a central thin frass line. The edge of the leaf is curled over and pupation takes place beneath this. The mine is greenish white (compare with the white mine of P.unipunctella). Mine shown on Salix alba (White Willow).
