Food Plant: Elymus repens (Common Couch grass)

Notes: Most of the top of the leaf is occupied by a lower surface mine. Frass is greenish and irregular, frequently washed out. Pupariation is within the mine and a matt black, somewhat compressed. puparium is formed. A rare European species, with previous records from Germany and the Czech Republic. Discovered in Britain (Warrington, 2019).
