Food Plant: Iris spp. eg I.foetidissima (Stinking Iris), I. ochroleucha, I.spuria (Blue Iris).

Mine: early Autumn

Notes: Forms a blotch mine, which may be large when several mines coalesce. The mine has a mottled appearance.

Synonym: Dizygomyza iridis
