Food Plant: Elymus repens (Couch Grass), Zea mays (Sweetcorn) Mine: October (adult bred - emerged 14.iii.2018). Seems to be univoltine. Notes: The mine is at the tip of the leaf and the frass is large and granular. Pupariation is within the leaf and a puparium can be seen (top right). Several larva mine together. The adults are similar to those of Cerodontha incisa and the differences are in the thickness of the jowls. The puparium decribed by Spencer (1976) was incorrectly mounted and the text is incorrect.
