Food Plant: Elymus repens (Couch Grass), Zea mays (Sweetcorn) Mine: October (adult bred - emerged 14.iii.2018). Seems to be univoltine. Notes: The mine is at the tip of the leaf and the frass is large and granular. Pupariation is within the leaf and a puparium can be seen (top right). Several larva mine together. The adults are similar to those of Cerodontha incisa and the differences are in the thickness of the jowls. Data: 21.x.2017, Downham Market, Norfolk, VC28 Image:© Rob Edmunds |
