Food Plant: Ulex europaeus (Gorse) Mine: September - May Pupa: within the mine Notes: A rarely found mine. The larva feeds in the epidermis and is a pale lemon yellow colour, with the head being a pale brown, with darker edges. It can be seen projecting into the thoracic region of the larva (upper photo shows the living larva). The larva shown is 3mm long.

The larva opposite (in ventral view) is preserved and it can be seen that there are few distinguishing larval features. |
