339 Phyllonorycter ulicicolella (Stainton, 1851)

	Food Plant: Ulex europaeus (Gorse) Mine: September - May Pupa: within the mine Notes: A rarely found mine. The larva feeds in the epidermis and is a pale lemon yellow colour, with the head being a pale brown, with darker edges. It can be seen projecting into the thoracic region of the larva (upper photo shows the living larva). The larva shown is 3mm long.
	The larva opposite (in ventral view) is preserved and it can be seen that there are few distinguishing larval features.
	A very pale prothoracic plate is seen in this dorsal view and the head capsule has darker outer edges
	The thoracic legs are ringed black.
