Food Plant: Quercus (Oak) Egg: Upper side of leaf Mine: July, September - October Notes: A short contorted gallery, usually near midrib. The larva pupates in a whitish cocoon - spun on a leaf in Summer and on the trunk in autumn. The cocoon above is on the leaf - the larva often are blown on silken threads to another plant and then form a cocoon (as above). The cocoon is on Cytisus (Broom) above.
