Notes: Initially mines the leaf then feeds externally on the upper surface of the leaf (as shown). The leaves then whiten and shrivel, which can be taken as indictors of the presence of the larvae. White moulting cocoonets, on the upper surface of leaves are sometimes seen (third leaf up on the right).
